Community Commitment
Montana Safe Schools Center is housed at the Phyllis J. Washington College of Education on the University of Montana campus. We acknowledge that we are on the aboriginal territories of the Salish and Kalispel people. Today, we honor the path they have shown us in caring for this place for the generations to come.
Montana Safe Schools Center is committed to providing an environment that respects the dignity and value of all partners. Discrimination based on a person’s identity or protected characteristics is strictly prohibited.
Any individual who experiences or witnesses discriminatory behavior within MSSC is encouraged to report the incident promptly to their supervisor. Confidentiality will be maintained to the fullest possible extent. Depending on the nature and setting of the discriminatory behavior, MSSC staff will pursue the appropriate reporting procedure.
Montana Safe Schools Center also adheres to the University of Montana’s Anti-Discrimination Policy.
We strive to see a school system where students are respected in the same way.
