Safer Montana is an online resource for Montana students, parents, teachers and local authorities to report bullying, school safety threats and incidents.
Our Commitment to Safety
Safer Montana intends to lower school safety threats by giving families and communities an effective tool to report potential threats. All reported tips are analyzed and answered within minutes by proficient communicators that work 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
One Tip Can Save a Life
Implementing an effective reporting system in schools on a statewide level embeds a culture of safety for students and communities alike. When a threat is reported, we are given the opportunity to prevent it and the potential violence that may follow. Working together to keep schools and communities safe is our highest priority at Safer Montana.

Since Implementation in 2021:
- 16 school districts across Montana have implemented this program.
- 82 Montana schools are registered.
- Since inception of Safer MT Tip Line, a total of 200 tips have been received with 159 of those tips coming in from one school district alone.

- 27% Bullying
- 15% Possession of drugs including vaping
- 12% School complaint
- 8% Non-safety concern
- 6% Threat of planned school attack
- 5% Suicide ideation
- 4% Threat to safety
- 3% Cyperbullying
